Well here is a show that does very nicely with a Matrix treatment. This shows strengths are well known, from a huge Jack Straw opener, an amazing Scarlet>Fire>Estimated>Eyes and, of course, a monumental Dew. Sure, for some unknown reason they let Brent throw in a "Maybe You Know" and to be honest, I DONT know. I guess few shows are entirely perfect and this certainly is a rather conspicuous stain on an othewise blemish-free set. No matter, though. This show's power rolls over you and engulfs you in a state of expanded consciousness that puts you on the back of a bald eagle soaring over the Colorado River as it twists and turns through the Grand Canyon on a clear, blue sky June morning. Well, at least that's what I got out of it, and I'm sober.

Thanks for the beautiful imagery on this beautiful Brazos Valley Morning as I listen to the, yes, beautiful, Dew for breakfast.
Peace

This may be the best show from 1983. Please let us know if you think the matrix is better than the audience recording (I've never liked the SBD). Was that Bluedevil you could hear screaming for a Brent tune?

Many of the mid to lat 80's SBD's I find to be just to sterile while the quality of the AUDS just kept getting better and better. I know many folks will never embrace and AUD over a SBD, let alone a matrix of the two, but I think this is a great upgrade of what was previoulsy available.

IMHO, of course.

I take the best source regardless. That 90% are CM....

SDH maybe, you know, you could go from Eyes to MD?

Excellent rec and today's show to listen to. Thanks.

I certainly do. That is the glory of the digital age. I know we have previously discussed use of the skip button and no where is it more appreciated than at the start of a Brent tune.

No, the setlist isn't quite what the 10/15 or the 10/14 DP have to offer. I prefer the 10/15 Hartford show. The rocking "Stranger" the blistering Minglewood, BEW is infectious, and one of the few '83 St Stephens have always been close to my heart. Even Day Job sounds good on that one.

What a truly nice show, although I listened to the soundboard instead of the matrix. And what a superb Dew. Thank you so much for the tip.

Kind regards.

one of the better 83 shows in performance and quality...not as good as 04-20, 05-15, 06-18, 06-20, 09-08, 10-11, 10-15, 10-21.
